The Institute Research Committee under the Chairmanship of Director, NDRI, coordinates the entire research agenda of the institute.
Besides the Director, the Committee consists of Joint Director (Academics) all Heads of Divisions and Head of Regional Stations with Joint Director (Research) as its Member-Secretary.
The key functions of Institute Research Committee (IRC) are to critically review the on-going and completed research projects, to consider the new research proposals and to advise on fostering of linkages between the groups/divisions of the institute in respect of multidisciplinary/multi-locational projects.
The mid-term review of IRC projects of NDRI was taken up during 16th to 19th August, 2010 at Karnal and on 7th September, 2010 at SRS, Bangalore and 8th October, 2010 at ERS, Kalyani. Based on the critical reviews at the Divisional level and subsequently at the Institute IRC meetings, certain clear–cut recommendations emerged on each research project, which were documented in the proceedings of IRC Meeting.
